' BAR STOOL RACER' ~ very quick 'shake down run' ( to see if any thing falls off) IT WORKS! ..... but I have got a few things wrong, mainly the gearing. New pictures and the Bar stool page. Need to sort gearing and give it a paint job! should be some video soon.
I have been looking at the electric barstool racer land speed record ( 48mph) now I quite fancy having a go at that..... plans have begun and parts are being 'acquired' Take a look at HERE to see what the 'worlds fastest bar stool' looks like.

The mono wheel appears in the July issue of 'Popular Mechanics' which, in case you didn't know, is a very very big American publication!
it says in the magazine that I am Professor! I'm not ( I have a PhD in electronics)
Di-wheel ~ Just had some quotes for the main wheels, frame loops and the rollers - comes to about £700!!!!!!!!!
so looks like the di-wheel is still on hold or I will have to sell something or .....................
I still think its a good idea and I will have to build it at some time!
I found this, now I would really , really like a go in one !
There has been a development that means the di wheel might be 'on' as the next project!
Mower racing season over. Results of my first season on the mower page. Plans for a new roller are ready and construction will begin soon.
